The Issue

Over the past four decades, Southern Inland California's transportation and logistics industry has experienced remarkable growth. In the 1980s, the region boasted approximately 250 warehouses; today, that number has surged to over 4,000. This expansion can be attributed to the area's strategic geographical positioning, land accessibility and affordability, and skilled workforce. Looking ahead, the Inland Empire has the potential to evolve into a model of sustainable logistics operations. This Dialogue will explore emerging research and breakthroughs in medium and heavy-duty transportation sectors.
