Student Ambassadors

Overview

JHBC Graduate Student Ambassadors are a prestigious team of JHBC Graduate students, who work closely with the JHBC Graduate Programs Director & Staff to represent the graduate student body. Student Ambassadors are responsible for supporting prospective, new and current students, their families, guests, alumni, business partners and friends of the college and university. Additionally, by assisting at program events, providing campus tours and interacting with students through e-mail, social media, and promote the image of the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration (JHBC). Ambassadors are highly visible members of the JHBC Team helping build a strong graduate student community across CSUSB and strength ties between the JHBC graduate programs and students.

Student Ambassadors are students who have demonstrated a high potential for academic success, community service, fostering diversity, and leadership. Participation in the Ambassador Program will demonstrate the importance of interacting with fellow students and show them the impact that becoming involved in the campus community can have. Ambassadors are selected through an application process reviewed by the JHBC Graduate Programs Office. Only current JHBC Graduate students are eligible to apply. Candidates are held to the highest standards of excellence.

Irene Michel
MBA Candidate, Cybersecurity Concentration

Irene is a candidate for the MBA program with a concentration in Cybersecurity. She received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and minor in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles. As a member of the Cal State LA Alumni Scholarship Committee since 2023, she actively contributes to selecting deserving candidates who demonstrate academic excellence and community involvement. She is committed to upholding the integrity of the scholarship process and ensuring that it benefits students who embody the values of our alumni network. Additionally, she is in the Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Club on campus where she provides social skills, networking and creating projects to add to your portfolio. She currently works for the Admissions Office on campus as Front Counter Lead.

An interesting fact about her is that she loves the outdoors and traveling to national parks.
