Join us for "Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship: Turning Adversity into Opportunity While Building Businesses That Create Social Impact" a seminar designed to inspire business graduate students to think beyond traditional entrepreneurship and explore how business can be a powerful vehicle for personal transformation and social impact. Discover how adversity can become a catalyst for entrepreneurship, leadership, and meaningful change. This session will explore the journey of building purpose-driven businesses, the importance of aligning entrepreneurship with social impact, and practical insights for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to create businesses that not only succeed financially but also make a difference in their communities.
Featured Speaker: Mariatu Tu Browne, CEO of Tu Organics LLC | Tu Organics Salon. Mariatu is an entrepreneur, educator, author, and doctoral student at the University of La Verne. She is the founder and CEO of Tu Organics Salon and founder of the Tu Organics Foundation. After overcoming domestic violence and numerous personal challenges, she earned her bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing and an MBA from California State University, San Bernardino. Today, she is dedicated to empowering future entrepreneurs through education, leadership, and social impact.
Mariatu is also the author of Tu Success! A Journey from Pain to Purpose, with proceeds supporting scholarships and workforce development initiatives through the Tu Organics Foundation. Book signing will be available for those attending in person.

Delivering Difficult Messages Workshop

The JHBC Professional Writing Office (PWO) is holding its first workshop of the year called "Delivering Difficult Messages" and it will cover a series of different items including learning how to professionally say no, address a problem, apologize for a mistake, ask for clarification, follow up, format emails, memos or even letters. So don't miss out and check out the event on October 20th from 12 - 1:30PM in JB-457.
The workshop will cover:
- Knowing why responding to difficult messages professionally is important.
- What is a negative message?
- Knowing whether to use an email, memo, or letter to deliver the message.
- How to format documents
- Techniques for delivery
- Good and bad examples

The CSUSB Entrepreneurship Club is excited to host their upcoming Student Vendors Market! The Vendor Markets provide CSUSB students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, promote their businesses, and sell their products while gaining hands-on entrepreneurial experience.
All are welcome. Come by and shop, explore and discover the amazing products from our talented CSUSB student entrepreneurs! While vendor opportunities are reserved for CSUSB students, out market is open to the entire public. Bring friends and family and support student-owned businesses, and help our campus entrepreneurs turn their passions into thriving businesses.
CSUSB's Student Vendors Market hosted by the Entrepreneurship Club will take place on Coyote Walkway in front of SMSU North on October 28th, 2026 from 11AM - 3PM. (Parking is $10 for those who do not have a parking pass).

This is where the competition gets real.
Semi-finalists will have just minutes to capture the attention of judges, showcase their entrepreneurial potential, and compete for a chance to advance. Attendees will get a front-row look at the next wave of student innovation while connecting with students, faculty, mentors, community partners, and entrepreneurship supporters.

In 2003, the Randall W. Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship at California State University San Bernardino, founded the annual "Spirit of the Entrepreneur" Awards Program in the Inland Empire. Now in its 24th year, the awards are a reflection of our passionate belief that the Inland Empire community should honor and reward the entrepreneurial men and women who innovate, take risks and build businesses that contribute significantly to our local economy.
