Welcome
The Office of Academic Scheduling and Curriculum (ASC) manages the feasibility of meeting times, enrollment capacities, and classroom utilization for the Schedule of Classes each academic term. The office works directly with the College Associate Deans, Academic Department Chairs and Schedulers, and Facilities Management to ensure that instructional needs are satisfied. The ASC Office provides final exam schedules each term.
The ASC Office facilitates the development and approval of new degrees, programs, and credentials, and coordinates academic planning with those offices engaged in enrollment management, assessment, and physical space planning. We are responsible for publishing the University Catalog. We interact with several committees of the Academic Senate, including the Curriculum Committees and the General Education Committee on the review of new and modified courses, and modifications of degree requirements. The ASC Office is in the Academic Affairs Division and operates under the guidance and leadership of the Vice Provost of Academic Programs and the Provost for Academic Affairs.
