National Endowment for the Humanities Online Workshop

CSULB will be hosting a CSU-wide workshop providing an overview of funding opportunities offered by the NEH as well as tips for preparing competitive applications. General information on the array and organization of NEH programs will be included. There will be particular emphasis on Division of Research Programs, such as summer stipends, fellowships, and the awards for faculty programs. Senior Program Officer, Beauty Bragg, will also facilitate a mock rebiew panel and take questions as part of this presentation. 

NEH Mission and Vision:

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is an independent federal agency created in 1965. It is one of the larget funders of humanities programs in the United States. Because democracy demands wisdom, NEH serves and strengthens out republic but promoting excellence in the humanities and conveying the lessons of history to all Americans. The endowment accomplishes this mission by awarding grants for top-rated proposals examined by panels of intendent, external reviewers.
