Advising Information

Advising information

Refer to your PAWS and MyCaps for information, and to update information during advising. If something is amiss or didn't translate properly from quarters to semesters or upon transfer, please contact the Department Chair (909-537-3313) or the Chemistry & Biochemistry office: (909)537-5318.

Semester Roadmaps: this includes two/four year plans for Semester Catalog, as well as translation tables to convert old course numbers to new. It also indicates semesters in which courses are likely to be available. All math classes required are available every semester and summer session. The only chemistry course currently taught in summer is General Chemistry II (lecture, discussion, lab), and Organic Chemistry II (lecture),  Chem 2200/2200L & 2500

General Education for Semesters: Please note that our major courses do NOT include any courses designated "Writing Intensive (WI)", "Diversity-Inclusion (DI)" or "Global Perspectives (G)". In order to avoid having to take additional courses, students are urged to take GE courses that also meet these designations. One DI and one G course are needed for graduation; two WI courses (at least one at the upper division) are also required; ENG 3066 also meets the upper division WI requirement.
