American x Japanese Cross Culture Club

This funding will support the club’s activities for the 2025-2026 academic year, focused on promoting Japanese culture and cross-cultural exchange. The club plans to host events such as cultural showcases (e.g., karate performances), interactive activities (e.g., origami, Japanese snacks, and games), and collaborative campus events that engage students. Additionally, the club plans to organize larger events, such as a “Japan Week,” featuring multiple clubs and performers, though specific details may vary.

Club Rebound

This event and work to build awareness of the positive attributes CR brings to the university supports the Mission Statement of CSUSB by promoting growth and success. This will enhance the vitality of our region by actively engaging those whose socioeconomic status may prevent them from entering the higher education realm. CR educates their students in how to navigate the college education systems and supports how to effectively manage their educational attainment through financial training, such as FAFSA application submissions.

The Coyote Student Nurses supports student involvement, leadership, and community service within the nursing program. The Nursing Mixer is an event dedicated to supporting nursing students and recognizing their hard work and dedication to the program. Grant funding will help support an initiative such as the Nursing Street Medicine Program, a community based program in which nursing students volunteer and give back to underserved communities around CSUSB. They provide vital services including food, clothing, hygiene products, and emotional support. Funding will also provide resources such as student nurse merchandise to promote unity and professional identity within our community. It is very important for us to help create a sense of unity within our program, the stronger our bond, the stronger our resilience to persevere will be. We sincerely appreciate your support in helping us continue to provide these meaningful opportunities for our CSUSB nursing students.

The 13th Annual MAPSS Pre-Health Conference at California State University, San Bernardino is an event designed to support and guide aspiring healthcare professionals. Scheduled for Saturday, February 15th, 2025, this conference will feature inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities with healthcare professionals and professional schools. Attendees, including pre-med, pre-dental, pre-PA, nursing, and other pre-health students, will gain valuable insights into career pathways, application strategies, and the latest trends in healthcare. Funding from this grant will help enhance the conference experience by supporting event logistics, speaker accommodations, and student engagement initiatives.

Muslim Student Association

The Annual Ramadan Iftar is a community-centered evening hosted by the Muslim Student Association to support students observing Ramadan and to promote cultural understanding across campus. This event provides a free, inclusive dinner open to all students, giving them the opportunity to learn about Ramadan, share a meal, and build a sense of belonging. Funding from the Howl Grant would help cover food, supplies, and venue needs to ensure the event remains accessible, welcoming, and impactful for the 2026-27 academic year.

National Society of Leadership and Success

The Coyote Community Care Initiative is a student-led program designed to support SUSB students experiencing food insecurity and basic needs challenges, particularly those impacted by recent CalFresh eligibility changes. The program will provide food assistance, hygiene supplies, and resource awareness to help students maintain stability and academic success. Funds from the Howl Grant will be used to purchase food items, hygiene supplies, and materials to support the Obershaw Den and on-campus distribution efforts. The initiative will be led by members of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and will create opportunities for student leadership through the planning and implementation of service-based programs that directly support the CSUSB student community.

Neuroscience Club

The First Inaugural CSUSB Neuroscience Awareness Symposium 2026 is a student-led educational event designed to promote neuroscience literacy, student research, and community engagement at CSUSB. This symposium represents an innovative initiative within the CSU system, as it focuses on neuroscience awareness and public engagement. While many universities host academic conferences, this event is uniquely designed to make neuroscience accessible, interactive, and relevant to students and the broader community. This symposium will feature student research presentation, poster session, and interactive workshops on brain health learning memory and behavior.

Students for Human Resource Management Club

The Spring 2026 JHBC Student Club Collaborative Event is a student networking and recruitment mixer that will bring together multiple JHBC student organizations to promote campus involvement, leadership, and professional growth. The event will include club introductions, a guest speaker, giveaways, and a networking period with food and refreshments. Howl Grant funding will support pizza, drinks, cookies, and giveaway prizes.

Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP)

We plan to hold a coffee and Thrift fundraiser event to raise money for the people of Palestine. The money will be used to acquire supplies for the event and any left over funds would be put towards the donation total.
