College of Arts and Letters

Heather Sharp leads with collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to uplifting student voices across the College of Arts and Letters. Her approach centers on building inclusive spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to express their ideas through transparency and meaningful communication.

  • Creative Blooms Spring Showcase - Developed and coordinates this signature event that highlights student short films, visual art, and campus resources, creating a platform where Arts and Letters students can share their work and connect with peers.

  • Strengthening Interdepartmental Communication - Actively working to improve communication between Arts and Letters departments, making college opportunities and resources more accessible so students know what support is available to them.

  • Sustainability and DEI Committee Service - Serves on the Sustainability Committee and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, bringing the Arts and Letters student perspective to campus wide initiatives and ensuring student needs shape planning and decision making.

  • Expanding Visibility for Creative Students - Focused on creating more opportunities for Arts and Letters students to showcase their talents and connect across programs, helping them feel inspired and supported throughout their academic journey.

  • Building Community Through Student Engagement - Prioritizes transparency around campus resources and develops events that strengthen the sense of community within CAL, ensuring every student feels included and their concerns are heard by leadership.
