Launching Fall 2017 is the Resilient CSUSB Sustainability Plan. It is our roadmap for building, operating, and nurturing a healthier more resilient community for the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses.
The plan is in direct support of the mission and core values found in the University Strategic Plan. Its platform will use the triple bottom line (environment, equity, economy) as the foundation it is created to elevate and tie across our campuses efforts to holistically engage, inform, inspire, and make substantive gains toward our sustainable future.
Through a cross disciplinary Taskforce and six tactical Roadmap Working Groups we will focus on Energy, Water, Food & Waste, Transportation & Mobility, Education & Community, and Building & Land Use.
California State University, San Bernardino was recently featured in Facilities Manager magazine article “3 Dozen Sustainability Best Practices.” The article, which is a compilation of campus best practices in sustainability, environmental stewardship and education, can be found on page 17.
