New Student Checklist
Student Financial Services is excited you are joining us in the fall! As mentioned during orientation, we have created a checklist that will help guide you through the steps needed to get your student account set up for your first term here. Please contact us with any questions you have pertaining to your individual student account.
Dates are provided for the Fall 2024 semester. Please note that not all checklist items apply to each student and may be optional.

It can take up to two weeks for CSUSB to receive your application and determine your financial aid eligibility. This may be delayed if any additional information is required to determine your eligibility. Contact Financial Aid and Scholarships with any questions regarding your financial aid. |

| August 1 | Enroll in Direct Deposit |
All refunds will be deposited directly into the bank account of your choice. A student who does not enroll in Direct Deposit will receive paper checks mailed to their mailing address on file, delaying access to funds for up to two weeks. |
| August 1 | Accept Federal Direct Loans through myCoyote |
If offered and you plan to use them to pay educationally related expenses including Tuition, Fees, Room, and Board.

| August 1 | Review Fall 2024 Schedule of Important Dates | |
| August 14 | Enroll in a Payment Plan |
Enroll in a payment plan if you don't plan on paying your full balance by the fee deadline (August 15, 2024) |
| August 1 | Create Authorized Payer (Parent PIN) Accounts |

International Students: Make final payment by Flywire |
To ensure your payment is processed by the fee deadline, please make your payment two weeks prior to the deadline. |
| July 21 |
If you are in housing and/or purchased a meal plan, review your charges. |
Housing and Meal Plan charges are anticipated to be applied to your account by July 21, 2024. Please check your account for your new account balance. |
| August 15 | Please select an option to ensure your balance is paid in full by the tuition and deadline. |
