HOW CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION ON GMAT/GRE?

IS A GMAT OR GRE SCORED REQUIRED; IF SO, WHAT DEPT. SHOULD THIS GO TO?

TMBA: Yes, a GMAT (470) or GRE (298) score is required to be accepted. Official test scores are to be sent to the MBA Program Office.

OL MBA: No.

IS THERE A COMP EXAM COURSE REQUIRED?

TMBA: Finance Focus Area Student have a Comprehensive Exam.

OL MBA: There is no Comprehensive Exam for OL MBA Students.

IS A PORTFOLIO COURSE REQUIRED?

TMBA & OL MBA: Yes. This course should be completed at the end of the program and if possible, concurrent with ADMN 691. Students will not be graduated without meeting this requirement.

HOW MANY CONCENTRATION/FOCUS AREA COURSES ARE THERE?

TMBA: There are five (5) concentration courses.

OL MBA: There are no concentrations in OL MBA. Instead students select 2 elective courses.

HOW MANY CORE COURSES ARE THERE?

TMBA & OL MBA: There are 10 required core courses which consist of 2 foundation courses, 7 essential courses, and 1 culminating experience course.

HOW MANY CLASSES DO I NEED TO TAKE EACH QUARTER?

TMBA: Each student various, on average students enroll in two courses per quarter.

OL MBA: Each student is required to take two classes per quarter; the first class is taken during the first five weeks of the quarter and the second class is taken during the second five weeks of the quarter.

HOW MANY CLASSES CAN I TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER GRADUATE PROGRAM?

TMBA & OL MBA: A student is able to request up to three (3) courses to be transferred. When transferring course work you will need to provide the transcripts, course descriptions and syllabi. Transfer is not guaranteed and requires Graduate Coordinator and Department Chair approval.

AFTER I REVIEW AND SIGN OFF ON MY PROGRAM PLAN, WHAT HAPPENS?

TMBA: After a Program Plan is reviewed and signed by all required parties, it is sent over to the Registrar’s Office for record. If you decide to change any of your courses, you must obtain prior approval by completing a Request for Change in Graduate Program Plan form, available in the Business Graduate Programs Office (909) 537-5703. This Program Plan is used to process your Graduation Check and to be graduated from the university.

OL MBA: After a Program Plan is reviewed and signed by all required parties, it is sent over to the Registrar’s Office for record. WHAT IS A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT CHECK?

TMBA and OL MBA: A Graduate Requirement Check is a form that is submitted to the Office of Registrar for the review of graduation purposes. This form is required to be graduated with your program. More information can be found on the Registrar’s Office website.

DO I GET TO CHOOSE A CONCENTRATION FOR THIS PROGRAM?

TMBA: Yes.

OL MBA: No. The MBA Online Program provides a general MBA. A concentration can only be chosen in the traditional program.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR ME TO FILE MY GRADUATION REQUIREMENT CHECK?

TMBA and OL MBA: A Graduation Requirement Check should be filed according to the filing deadlines found through the Records Office website. This is necessary for you to graduate and receive your diploma. For information on filing your Graduation Check please contact the offices of Registrar’s Office at (909) 537-5200.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR THIS PROGRAM?

TMBA: Full time students on average complete the program in 24 months (2 courses per term) = $30,000 (Non-residents = $45,000)

OL MBA: The total cost of the MBA Online Program is approximately $36,000.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY?

TMBA and OL MBA: Commencement is twice a year and is held at the end of every Spring (June) and Fall (December) quarters. Participation in the ceremonies is voluntary and does not constitute graduation. Only students who have filed for a graduation requirement check are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremonies. Registration information for commencement will be mailed to you from the Office of Academic Affairs. Visit the Commencement website or call the hotline at 909.537.7050. Due to the number of June graduates the ceremonies are separated by Colleges and will be held at the Citizen Business Bank Arena.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM TAKE?

TMBA: Approximately 24 months

OL MBA: Approximately18 months

WHEN I FINISH MY PROGRAM, WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY MBA DIPLOMA?

TMBA and OL MBA: Your degree is processed by the Registrar Office. This can take up two 2-3 months as it is ordered from out of state. Please contact them for the status at 909-537-5200.

WHERE DO MY DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED TO?

TMBA: All official transcripts must be submitted to the Graduate Studies Office. GMAT and GRE Test Scores, letters of recommendations, statement of purpose, and résumés must be submitted to the MBA Office at mba@csusb.edu.

TMBA: All students admitted into the MBA Online Program must attend a new student MBA orientation. The dates for this event vary, and can be found in the acceptance letter sent by the Business Graduate Program office..

OL MBA: All students admitted into the MBA Online Program must attend a new student MBA orientation. As an MBA Online student this orientation will be completed virtually via Blackboard.

WHEN DO I NEED TO SIGN OFF ON MY PROGRAM PLAN?

TMBA: Once a student completes 16 graduate units and selects their concentration are eligible to sign off on their program plan.
