Western University PharmD Early Assurance Program (EAP)

The EAP program is a partnership between Western University's College of Pharmacy (COP) and CSUSB.  It is a conditional early acceptance program that assists WesternU/COP meet its goal to increase the number of culturally competent pharmacists that graduate from our program.  EAP candidates are sought who have achieved at least an overall GPA of 3.1, a science GPA of 3.0, and can provide documented evidence meeting any of the following criteria:

  • A strong history of outreach and community service, ideally with underserved populations or communities.
  • Grew up in a socio-economic, educational and/or medically underserved family or community and have expressed a desire to return to ultimately practice in those communities.
  • Belong to a population that is underrepresented in pharmacy and have expressed a desire to return to ultimately practice in those communities.

Additionally, excellent students with a demonstrated interest in pharmacy, as evidenced by interactions with pharmacists and/or an understanding of the philosophies of the practice of pharmacy demonstrated during their interview, will also be considered.

If interested, you need to complete the application form which is available through the Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC) in TC-030 (909-537-7345). You also need to have at least one letter of recommendation from your academic advisor or a science faculty member at CSUSB.
