Resources & Advising
We want every student to feel supported here, not just academically, but as a whole person working through a demanding degree. Whether you need help mapping out a semester, aren't sure who to talk to, or just need a place to sit down with classmates and get through a tough problem set, here's where to start.
Academic Advising
Every physics major meets with a faculty advisor each semester to talk through your course plan, any challenges you're running into, and opportunities for research and internships. We don't pre-assign advisors, you'll get to know all of our faculty early on through the Tools for Physicists seminar, and you're encouraged to build a relationship with whichever faculty member is the best fit for your goals.
Tutoring & Resources
The Society of Physics Students runs a study space in PS-104, a real hub for the department, part study room, part hangout space, with department-supported tutoring at every level. Lower-division tutoring is also available in-person and virtually through the ASUA tutoring center.
