Student Involvement

We have a number of projects going on at the observatory available to students who are interested in gaining valuable experience in several different fields. Projects include:

  • Engineering projects to improve and maintain the observatory's functions
  • Observing projects to learn how to use the telescopes
  • Computer programming projects that include code optimization, scripting, creating interfaces and more

If any of these projects sound interesting to you, please fill out our observatory application and make note of which type(s) of projects you are interested in and if you have any particular skills that might be useful. At this time, we can only offer you course credit or volunteer hours for your work.
