Minor in Speech-Language Pathology

The Minor in Speech-Language Pathology provides an introduction to the fast-growing field of communication disorders. Students in the minor can complete the required coursework to be eligible to apply to most Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and Communication Sciences & Disorders. The courses in the minor are taught by faculty from several departments with expertise in communication sciences and disorders and related fields.

The minor requires 12 courses (36 units), which are designed in a two-year sequence. The coursework is the same as that of the Speech-Language Pathology Master’s Preparatory Certificate program, and is offered in person at limited days and times at the CSUSB San Bernardino campus. See "Required Program Coursework" link.

Admission to the minor takes place once a year (Fall admission only), with applications due the preceding Spring semester by the deadline shown at the “How to Apply” link.  Students must have at least sophomore standing to apply to the minor and must have at least junior standing by the time they begin taking SLP minor courses.  Admission to the minor is limited and contingent on available spaces.
