Admission Requirements

Prerequisites

Launching in Fall 2025, The Stater Bros. Markets Bachelor of Arts in Applied Business is designed to simplify your path to a business degree. We’ve removed traditional prerequisites to make this program more accessible than ever.


Eligibility Requirements:

The admission process for applicants begins well before submitting an application and continues until they are enrolled in courses. To help incoming students understand what to expect as they embark on their educational journey, we have outlined the following important application and document deadlines:

  • Must be an upper-division transfer student with 60 or more transferable semester units (90 quarter units).
  • Completion of general education requirements.
  • Completion of CSU History, Constitution and American Ideals Requirement: Students must complete US-1 (American History), US-2 (US Constitution and Government), US-3 (California State and Local Government).
  • Completion of the Golden Four Courses: Students must complete the following Golden Four courses with a grade of “C-” of better in each:
    • Oral Communication (GE Category A1) - 3 units
    • Written Communication (GE Category A2) - 3 units
    • Critical Thinking (GE Category A3) - 3 units
    • Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (GE Category B4) - 3 units
  • No business prerequisites required (e.g., no accounting, statistics, or economics courses needed).
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA (Undergraduate Applicants)
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (Post-Baccalaureate Applicants)
  • Good academic standing at the last attended institution.

Post - Application Process

Activate Your Account

Once your application has been successfully submitted and processed, CEGE will send you an email containing important information, including: 

  • Your Coyote ID (student ID for our campus)
  • Login information for your myCoyote account
  • Instructions on how to activate your account

Please note that this process may take up to 2 business weeks. We recommend checking your myCoyote and campus emails regularly-at least once a week-to stay updated on your application status and important notifications. 

Submit Your Official Transcripts

All CSUSB - CEGE applicants are required to submit documents to complete the application process.

Transcript Submission Requirements:
CEGE requires all students to submit transcripts from all institutions listed on your myCoyote To Do List. These documents must be sent directly from the institution where you are or have been enrolled and must include all grades from coursework completed at those institutions.

Transcript Request Process:

Once you are officially admitted to our university, you will be required to submit official transcripts to the Registars Office to secure your enrollment for the following term. Transcripts must be received directly by the institution you attended to be considered official transcripts.

Please request the transcript to be sent to via Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse.

Before requesting your official transcript(s), please ensure that all final grades and your awarded degree are clearly indicated on the document.

Official Transcript Deadline Dates

All final official transcripts must be received by the specified deadline. Previous and in-progress coursework must be completed and reflected in these final transcripts by the posted deadlines.


Delivery Methods

Electronic Transcripts:
If you are submitting official documents electronically, you must request them with enough time to ensure they are received on or before the deadline. CSUSB—CEGE recommends submitting requests for electronic documents at least ten business days before the listed deadline.

Please note that electronic requests are not immediate and require processing time from the institution you attended, so plan accordingly. CSUSB - CEGE must receive all official transcripts on or before the deadline date listed on the program website to be considered on time. Failure to submit documents will result in the cancellation of your application for admission.

Important: Documents sent via email to CSUSB will not be considered official. Only electronic transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution through an approved and secure third party will be accepted as official.

Official Paper Final Transcripts - Mail:
Transcripts printed by the issuing institution must arrive at CSUSB sealed in the original envelope to be considered official. Any document received without a seal will be deemed unofficial.
