Review and Reform

To strengthen its systems of care and compliance, the CSU engaged Cozen O'Connor’s Institutional Response Group in 2022 and 2023 to conduct a systemwide assessment of Title IX and Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (DHR) programs. The report identifies core observations and recommendations for improvements at both the system and university levels. This detailed analysis serves as a roadmap to better prevent and respond to discrimination and harassment through prevention and education programs, resources for students and employees, and individual and community remedies to promote accountability in the context of an equitable process.

In response, CSUSB has formed an Implementation Team to begin working on the recommendations at the university level. CSUSB is committed to making meaningful and impactful changes needed to strengthen our Title IX and other anti-discrimination policies, programs, and support systems. While the phases of implementation will take time, the continued effort and support of this community is vital to our commitment to creating the best possible experience for everyone, now and in the future.

We will continue to share updates with the campus community as progress is made on the recommendations.
