Careers in Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity Center is committed to producing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Because of our strides in this effort, visitors from other universities, community colleges, government agencies, and industry continue to come to CSUSB to learn how we produce some of the best talents in the Nation. In this past year, professionals from both the public and private sectors worked with the Cybersecurity Center on several projects, which is evidence that the talent at CSUSB is unparalleled. From our dedicated faculty inside the classroom to our opportunities for continued education through the Cyber Intelligence and Security Organization (CISO), students have the opportunity to learn a broad spectrum of skills (technical, management, written and oral communication, critical thinking, cyber awareness, etc.).

CSUSB currently has over 300 individuals in its cybersecurity program, with more students projected to enter each year. These students include students from a variety of disciplines, including Accounting, Information Systems and Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, and National Security Studies. With their talents, they provide a wide range of interests within the cybersecurity program.

Our students have gone on to excel in the public and private industry, many in high-paying, high-impact positions.
