WITH Cyber Camp at CSUSB

Explore the Future of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence

The WITH Cyber Camp at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is an exciting residential summer experience for high school students who want to explore the worlds of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies.

Hosted through CSUSB’s Center for Cyber and AI, the camp is part of the Workforce Innovation Technology Hubs (WITH) project — a statewide initiative funded by the California Cybersecurity Regional Alliance and Multistakeholder Partnership Pilot Program.

Building on more than a decade of leadership in cybersecurity education and outreach, CSUSB’s summer camps inspire the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and digital defenders.

What to Expect

At the CSUSB WITH Cyber Camp, students live and learn on campus for a week of hands-on activities, teamwork, and exploration. Campers get a taste of college life while developing technical and leadership skills that prepare them for the future.

During the week, students will:

  • Work with cutting-edge technology, including AI models on Raspberry Pis, drones, and robot dogs
  • Learn the fundamentals of networking, systems security, and cyber defense
  • Engage in cyber challenges, digital forensics, and ethical hacking exercises
  • Experience team-building activities like rock climbing and the CSUSB Leadership Challenge Center ropes course
  • Explore real cybersecurity careers through guest talks with experts from government and industry
  • Build lifelong connections with peers, mentors, and faculty who share their interests in technology and innovation

Each camp day blends interactive labs, college preparation, and outdoor activities—creating a dynamic and memorable experience for every participant.

Earn College Credit Through Dual Enrollment

Participants in the CSUSB WITH Cyber Camp get a head start on college through the dual enrollment course that extends beyond the camp week.

This unique opportunity allows students to:

  • Earn college credit while still in high school
  • Learn foundational IT and cybersecurity concepts taught by CSUSB faculty
  • Experience real college coursework in a supportive, engaging environment

Our Legacy: From GenCyber to WITH

For over a decade, CSUSB proudly hosted the GenCyber Summer Camp, funded by the National Security Agency (NSA) and National Science Foundation (NSF). Those camps introduced hundreds of Inland Empire students to cybersecurity through hands-on labs, drone programming, and mentorship from industry professionals at organizations like Google, IBM, Bank of America, and Northrop Grumman.

The WITH Cyber Camp continues this legacy by expanding access to cybersecurity and AI education through California’s statewide WITH initiative. By combining the spirit of GenCyber with new technologies and partnerships, CSUSB continues to lead the way in building the next generation of cyber talent.

When and How to Participate
