Each year, our writing consultants work with nearly 10,000 students in one-to-one conferences and conduct workshops with faculty members and students in more than 700 classrooms. Of these students, one-third come from basic writing and freshman composition courses, and one-fourth come from the upper division writing courses housed in the five colleges. The remainder come from a wide variety of courses across the university, including accounting, anthropology, business, biology, chemistry, communications, criminal justice, critical thinking, economics, education, ethnic studies, geography, health science, history, literature, management, marketing, mathematics, modern languages, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology, theater arts, and women's studies.
