Writing Accountability Group

The Writing Accountability Group

Theses, projects, and dissertations can be one of the most daunting experiences in a graduate student’s academic journey. Students often express that they feel isolated due to a lack of both a sense of community and individualized support during this time. The Writing Accountability Group (WAG) seeks to change this by creating a supportive and collaborative community for graduate students. But WAG isn't just for students working on their culminating projects. Graduate students can work on any assignment, be part of this community, and get a head start on what to expect when it’s their turn!

Here's how it works: For 2 hours each week, students can work independently, with a writing consultant, or with other WAG members on their projects. WAG will be with students every step of the way, guiding them through understanding deadlines, general formatting, and much more. WAG lets students choose how to spend their time; they can attend via Zoom or in person. Snacks and coffee will also be available in person! Students who regularly attend will be rewarded with goodies that celebrate their dedication and hard work.
