Mission
The I’m First Alliance seeks to improve the transition experience of first-generation college students and their families. Our goal is to support first-generation college students by building a network of community members (college students, faculty, staff and administrators) and to encourage the positive self-identification of those who are the first in their families to attend college.
Through this program, students will be connected with other first-generation college students, faculty and staff, learn and understand how to utilize campus resources, develop the essential skills to help them progress through their first year and beyond and will be engaged community members.
