MSA Online Fees and Financing

Program Fees and Financing:

The Online MSA per-unit fee is $900. 

Students take 10 courses that carry 3 units each, including a portfolio course in the last semester. In addition, the program requires students to take 0-unit CPA prep courses with deeply discounted learning materials.

Total fee for the program is $27,000. Textbooks and learning materials are additional. See the Curriculum and Course Descriptions button for detailed information.

Fees are due 1 week before the start of classes. Students may request a payment plan, which may be written for one semester. Payment plan terms are 50% down + $33 admin fee, then up to 3 payments at 30-day intervals before the end of the semester. Inquire with the Program Specialist by clicking HERE.

Financial Aid

The program accepts federal financial aid (via the FAFSA), typically in the form of loans for graduate students. Apply for Financial Aid through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student AidOur FAFSA school code is 001142  Financial aid loans disburse directly to CSUSB. Students must be enrolled in at least 3 units per semester to qualify for financial aid.

After you have submitted your FAFSA application, your questions about your application and steps to funding may be directed to Nicolette at nicolette.cusino@csusb.edu  Awarded financial aid posts to the student account automatically. Funds disburse to the program on or around the first day of the semester.

Students may find more information about alternative loans and other resources on the College of Extended and Global education financing Your Education page.  If you seek an alternative loan, be sure to let your Program Specialist know, so CSUSB Financial Aid office can track and accept your loan on your behalf.

Program Policies: Payment Deadlines and Fee Refunds

Course tuition is due seven days before classes start. Fee deadlines and census dates can be found on the Course Schedule and Dates page, by clicking on the blue button to the right.

The College of Extended and Global Education Refund Policy is as follows:

  • Drop a course before the first day of class =  100% refund and $25 admin fee
  • Drop a course on the first day of class and through CENSUS = 65% refund and $25 admin fee
  • Drop a course after CENSUS = no refund and $25 admin fee
  • NOTE this refund policy differs from the CSUSB refund policies for undergraduate students.

If fees are not paid at the time of a drop, the amount owed will be posted to the student's account as past due and future registration will not be permitted.
