Advising is vital to student success. Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration students are encouraged to regularly seek advising. Resources for advising include the JHBC Student Success and Internship Coordinator, Faculty, School Directors, Department Chairs, or undergraduate Academic Advisors.
JHBC Majors
The Jack H. Brown College offers the following majors:
- Bachelor of Arts, Administration
- B.A. Administration majors are required to select a concentration, preferably by junior year (60 semester/90 quarter units)
- Requirements include lower and upper-division core (46 units) and concentration coursework (18 units)
- Bachelor of Science, Information Systems and Technology
- B.S. IST majors must select a concentration from the following: Business Intelligence and Analytics, Cyber Security, or National Security
- Requirements include lower and upper-division core (46 units) and concentration coursework (18 units)
- Bachelor of Arts, Public Service
- B.A. in Public Service majors complete courses relevant to the applications and theories of public service, teaching competencies in leadership, ethics, budgeting, human resources, policy, planning, and engagement
- Bachelor of Arts, Tourism & Hospitality
- B.A. in Tourism and Hospitality is a degree completion program designed to equip students for management positions in this industry.
- Restricted to upper-division transfer students from culinary arts or hospitality management areas
Program Advising Worksheet for Students (PAWS)
The PAWS is:
- An automated credit summary for students, providing a comprehensive worksheet of all coursework required to graduate from CSUSB
- Provides current or previous courses taken at other institutions
- Indicates deficient courses required to complete a CSUSB degree
- An excellent resource, is unique to every student, and should be used in conjunction with the roadmaps listed below

Degree Roadmaps
Roadmaps are designed to assist undergraduate students with the scheduling process by providing a recommended sequence of courses, enabling students to graduate in a timely manner.
Although students may not maintain the exact courses indicated, a balanced combination of courses is recommended.
