POSITION DESCRIPTION: CGM offers undergraduate and graduate students internship opportunities each semester to help enhance skills and training in project management, marketing, communications, public relations and graphics design. - Global Access Program Internship: CGM is pleased to support an all new internship program, where students are able to assist in helping US businesses do business abroad through specific market research. - Global Incubator Internship: CGM has partnered with Planet63 to offer students the opportunity to hone and demonstrate entrepreneurial, communication, marketing, analytics and other skills; work with global businesses; and potentially negotiate a stake in their future careers. Planet63 is launching an online store showcasing Filippino brands. Student interns will assist with brand setup, test market data collection and business development. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under supervision, assists, and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific profession; through participation, receives supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation; and performs other related duties as required.
Incumbents of this class are current undergraduate or graduate students with a major study area directed towards a specific profession and departmental assignments. The incumbents are employed by County departments and are provided in-service training through participation in the actual duties and responsibilities assigned professional employees. A partial list of typical professions that Student Interns may participate in includes accounting, administration, law, human resources, planning, probation, and social work.
Examples of Essential Duties: (Depending on the area of assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following)
- Assist and participate in the day-to-day assigned work of professional employees.
- Assist and participate in special research, studies, surveys, and investigations; assist and participate in the compilation, tabulation, and analysis of information and data.
- Assist and participate in the preparation of briefs, reports, evaluations, specifications, and plans.
- Attend divisional and departmental staff meetings; prepare reports of suggestions and comments of observations regarding the various aspects of the department and program.
- May perform sub-professional assignments in support of professional staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cumulative Grade Point Average: Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application.
- Education: Current enrollment in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited college or university in a program relevant to the specific internship. Some positions may require current enrollment in an accredited graduate school program. Recent graduates are eligible to intern for up to one year from their graduation date.
- Knowledge of: The goals and functions of the specific profession to which assigned; use of computer hardware and software as needed to accurately perform duties.
- Ability to: Take direction and supervision; benefit and learn rapidly from on-the-job training; think logically and write clearly and concisely; compile data, perform arithmetical computations, analyze statistical data and prepare reports; learn to operate and use specialized equipment; maintain cooperative relations with co-workers and the public.

COMPANY OVERVIEW: The Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) Public Service Fellowship Program is a paid nine-month professional development opportunity that equips students to enter government careers. This Fellowship is a focused effort to allow participants to gain hands-on public sector experience in agencies in Western Riverside County while enriching the local community.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Placement in the Fellowship Program is based on a matching process where the interests and abilities of the selected Fellow are paired with the opportunities at a prospective host agency. All Fellows work 20 to 30 hours a week at their host agency and receive compensation of $17.50 an hour. As an additional benefit, WRCOG also hosts monthly Professional Development Sessions, which provide informational and networking opportunities for participants.
Since its inception, the Program has facilitated six cohorts training 75 Fellows who have contributed 72,000 hours of service in Western Riverside County. Their work ranges from economic development efforts to transportation infrastructure projects. Many Fellow alumni are gainfully employed throughout Western Riverside County, while others have pursued advanced degrees at prestigious universities, and much more.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under assigned direction, assists in various levels of work designed to complement and supplement existing City programs. The Intern is a temporary position, limited to a specific duration. This position is utilized within various Departments of the City and the intern shall work under the assigned supervisory (college graduate) at an experience level equal to or greater than a management employee.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are typical for collegiate internships working at the City of San Bernardino. Any single internship position may perform all of these duties and/or may perform similar related duties not listed here. The below duties are designed to challenge the intern and provide meaningful and productive work results that are measurable:
- Plans, organizes and conducts administrative, management, financial and program analyses relating to assigned issues and/or programs.

- To earn internship credit, interns must complete and submit a midterm, final, timesheet, and evaluation as well as commit to the entire internship session (minimum of 10 weeks).
- Be eligible to work in the United States.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Membership Interns assist the Riverside County Medical Association (RCMA) in various aspects of membership, communication, support, retention and recruitment activities. RCMA is seeking motivated business-focused interns who are ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in business administration.
