Hosting JHBC Interns
- Sign and submit a CSUSB Learning Site Agreement (LSA). An LSA is not required for paid, for-profit internships.
- Intern(s) will be supervised and placed in a safe work environment
- Employer supervisors must establish strong goals and objectives for the intern. Goals and objectives should be project-based and will incorporate aspects of the intern's major/concentration, as well as meet the needs of the organization.
- For-profit businesses should offer a paid internship opportunity. Instances where an hourly wage cannot be paid, interns must enroll in a 3-unit internship course, as this establishes compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, ensuring CSUSB and our business partners are not at risk of violating the requirements set for by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor.
