"Receiving $3.8 million grant for Cybersecurity Cybercorps"

The five-year grant awarded by National Science Foundation provides substantial scholarships to students who are interested in studying cybersecurity.

More than $61,000 was raised by 300 donors. The goal this year was to raise enough funds to provide 50 students with $1,000 scholarships for the 2021-22 academic year.

Coinciding with the annual Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, Cal State San Bernardino is once again hosting its own campaign, now through Tuesday, Dec. 1, to raise funds for student scholarships.

Students in the Crankstart program are anticipated to be between the ages of 25 and 50 and demonstrate financial need, challenges or hardships, and commitment to obtaining their degree.

The Crankstart Foundation gifted CSUSB $120,000 in support of the Crankstart Re-entry Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to low-income, underserved students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree after a cumulative gap in their education of five or more years.
