The CSUSB Cybersecurity Center is a pioneer in cybersecurity education. The National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2008 designated the university as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance, a reflection of the program’s excellence. In 2021, it was redesignated a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education, which recognizes the center’s specialty areas in cyber investigations and network security administration.
