Cal State San Bernardino is hosting its seventh university-wide Giving Tuesday campaign on Nov. 28. The event is a global day of giving held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the U.S. to raise funds for student scholarships and programs.

Last year’s campaign saw a record-breaking hit, with 683 generous donations surpassing CSUSB’s goal of 500 donors, and raising a total of more than $96,000. One of the most striking achievements was the rise in first-time donors. An astonishing 304 individuals were first-time donors, a 641% increase from 2021. This year’s goal is to get 600 donors and to reach $100k of donations to give back to the Coyote pack.

CSUSB strives to be the helping force when state and federal funding fall short, actively addressing gaps with the generous support of donors. Contributions to CSUSB funds drive essential programs such as the Obershaw DEN food pantry, ensuring warm meals for the 37% of students experiencing food insecurities at the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses.

A contribution to CSUSB, regardless of its size, has an immediate impact on the learning environment and student development. Donors do not need to wait until Nov. 28; they can make a difference today with a contribution of any size.
