Project Description: This project will expand the University’s renewable energy resources through the construction of a new solar and battery energy storage system on campus. The project includes approximately 3 megawatts of solar carport canopies over Parking Lot N, providing shaded covered parking for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while generating clean renewable electricity for campus use. Together with a new 140-kilowatt rooftop solar photovoltaic array on the Center for Global Innovation building and a 2.9-megawatt battery energy storage system, these improvements will help reduce energy costs, support campus sustainability goals, and improve long-term energy resiliency.
