ICE Raids
“For far too long, the voiceless have been pushed to the side” as our Latino Alumni Chapter stated. We have a new administration that is currently enforcing ICE raids which are tearing families apart and very few resources are being provided to help or assist those families and their loved ones who have been relocated outside of the United States.
Whether you agree or disagree, America, is a country rich in resources and every single American, no matter their Race or Native tongue, deserves a dignified and humanitarian approach when dealing with the separation of families. We do not want to be viewed as callous or inhumane while dealing with this important issue.
We stand in solidarity with our Brown brothers and sisters from our Undocumented and Latino Alumni communities as they deal with this political and oftentimes personal issue. Only “together” can we advocate for a more humane approach which gets rid of the “shocking images” shown in the media and on social media. For as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Brown Lives Matter. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow. Injustices affect us ALL.
