From student to mentor: Luis Rodriguez helps CSUSB artists find their voice
CSUSB alumnus and lecturer Luis Rodriguez brings his journey full circle, drawing from his experiences as an artist to mentor students while curating his first group exhibition, “Sueño Eterno,” at College of the Desert.
CSUSB alumnus and U.S. Army veteran Oscar Valdez, Los Angeles County Auditor-Controller, brings his expertise in public finance and government leadership to the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration’s Dean’s Advisory Board, helping strengthen connections between the college and the professional community.
From curiosity to neuroscience, Luis Gonzalez talks about his research journey at CSUSB. The first-generation psychology graduate student has built his academic experience around faculty mentorship, hands-on research, a peer-reviewed publication and award-winning presentations.
Through Model United Nations, student leadership and the guidance of mentors, Erik Hollins (they/them) discovered strengths at CSUSB that now shape their work as executive director of strategic communications at Cal State LA.
