Professor recounts first year teaching at CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus

Many people say that teaching is a difficult profession. Pablo Gomez can attest to that. As the first-ever full-time faculty member hired at the Cal State San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus, Gomez was hired in 2020 as a psychology professor and began teaching virtually for the university during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anthony Silard, CSUSB assistant professor of public administration, wrote the sixth article in his series “Success without Surrender.” This week, he focused on “Changing Behavior When Cold Turkey Isn’t an Option” in regard to reducing online time to focus on real world relationships.
