CSUSB: Affordable Excellence in Higher Education – Your First Choice University

To help our students in need, the Obershaw DEN food pantry was created to support students facing food insecurity by providing free emergency food, personal hygiene and childcare items. Available to all CSUSB students, the Obershaw DEN is located at the San Bernardino campus in the Santos Manuel Student Union South, room 224. Led by Basic Needs and Student Support, the Obershaw DEN provides temporary relief to those experiencing food emergencies. For short term food assistance, meal kits are also available and distributed at multiple locations at CSUSB.

At CSUSB, classes are taught by award-winning faculty who are experts in their fields. Our faculty are leaders who empower students to be innovative thinkers and lifelong learners. They help students jump start their future by serving as advisors, mentors and coaches. In addition to renowned researchers, our faculty is made up of industry professionals, sharing their expertise with aspiring students trying to enter the field. Each class and program provide students with the tools necessary to be successful at CSUSB and after graduation.

CSUSB provides undergraduate students with project-based learning opportunities, research projects and mentorship from our acclaimed faculty, helping them graduate prepared to change the world. From internships to fieldwork, students explore their passions while gaining hands-on experience. Students can participate in scholarly and creative activities related to their chosen field of study, and CSUSB provides funding to support these co-curricular experiences. For students continuing their education, they can begin research projects as an undergraduate that can be continued in graduate school. With the guidance of faculty mentors, our students are generating innovative ideas through creative activities and research opportunities.

The University Honors Program is an inclusive community of highly motivated learners that embraces each student's unique blend of strengths and experiences. The program helps students transition from high school to college through a community of support, which includes peers, faculty and staff working collaboratively in classes, workshops and experiential learning activities. Students from all majors are welcome to participate, and programs are designed to challenge students in their fields while exposing them to new ones. The University Honors Program is an opportunity for students to learn, explore and make connections.
