Trips
ITALY Study Abroad
Date: Match 31 to April 7, 2024 (Spring Break)
Required course: HOSM 2500 Hospitality & Tourism Management (3 units)
Cost: $3,600 per person, all-inclusive ($2,000 grants are available for the first 12 hospitality management students who sign up). Minor in hospitality management to be eligible for a grant!
What does it include?
Airfare (PSP), all land transportation, hotel lodging (double occupancy), meals, activities, museums, tasting tours, cooking classes, and food factory tours. Attend lectures by Italian faculty, government, and hospitality and tourism professionals in the cities of Florence, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, and Parma.
This trip is faculty-coordinated and led by Dr. Joseph Tormey, director and Dr. Michelle Russen, assistant professor of the hospitality management program.

Annual Fundraising Gala
The Need
Since the Coachella Valley has a $8.7 billion hospitality and tourism industry, there is often a need for qualified applicants for managerial positions. That’s why the Palm Desert Campus launched the Hospitality Management Program. CSUSB is building a world-class program that will attract the best students from the Coachella Valley and beyond.
Ticket Information
- Event Ticket: $150 each (fair market value is $100)
- Table (Seats 10): $1500 (fair market value is $1,000)
