The conference on March 26, offered by the Inland Health Professions Coalition, a program of Reach Out, gave the high schoolers the opportunity to learn about health careers through keynote speakers and interactive workshops.

Tom Provenzano (theatre arts) was interviewed about CSUSB’s quarter-to-semester conversion, Kelly Campbell (psychology) discussed relationship apps, and Brian Levin (criminal justice) talks about the latest hate crime statistics.

The event at the Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center will showcase teaching and learning technologies in support of the California State University’s Graduation Initiative 2025.

Janelle Doyle, alumna and recipient of the Richard Fehn Memorial Scholarship, defined her future through valuable biological research while at CSUSB, leading her to become a neuroscience Ph.D. graduate student at Stanford University.

The conference featured keynote speakers from engineering professionals in the auditorium, booths hosted by businesses, students, and student organizations in the event lobby, and giveaways.

ITS Tech Talks provided an opportunity for faculty and staff to meet and exchange ideas about technology in education, explore current and emerging technologies, and learn about projects that are enhancing the teaching and learning experience.

The hottest jobs in the country include genetic counseling, mathematicians and data scientists because they involve mathematics and data, said Sastry Pantula during his talk, “Big Data and Promises.”
