
“Anthropocene: The Human Epoch,” a film discussing the geological and environmental impacts humans have had on the Earth, will be shown at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the Santos Manuel Student Union Theater, followed by a discussion.

Priscilla Porter, of the Porter History-Social Science Resource Room at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus, was interviewed for a podcast on the upcoming WorldQuest competition at PDC on Feb. 4.

Through personal anecdotes and academic research, Mary Fong, professor of communication studies, discussed Chinese communication patterns at CSUSB’s Conversations on Diversity series on Jan. 28.

MFA students Jacob Adame and Haylie Roché have been selected to exhibit their artwork in the highly competitive SoCal MFA Juried Exhibition at the Millard Sheets Art Center. Opening reception is Saturday, Feb. 1.

“Visual Frequency,” a new exhibit coming Feb. 3 to RAFFMA, features art from CSUSB students who worked closely with renowned painter Armando Lerma. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 6-8 p.m.

Cultural and artistic performances will highlight the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival celebration at the CSUSB Student Union on Friday, Jan. 31.

Soprano Stacey Fraser, CSUSB music department chair and professor, will be singing in a world premiere concert, featuring a Grammy Award winning pianist, in the Performing Arts Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.
