Prospective students ready to start their college journey at Cal State San Bernardino in 2027 have two opportunities to join the Coyote community.
Students who want to begin classes in January still have time to apply for the Spring 2027 semester. First-time freshmen and transfer students can submit their applications through Cal State Apply by midnight Thursday, Oct. 15.
Students planning to begin classes in August can now submit their applications for Fall 2027. Applications became available Aug. 1, and prospective students who have already started theirs can now complete and submit them through Cal State Apply.
Fall 2027 applicants should submit their applications by the deadline for their intended major:
- Nov. 30 – Pre-nursing
- Jan. 31 – All other majors

More than 70 programs to explore
Whether students start in January or August, CSUSB offers more than 70 undergraduate degree programs designed to help them explore their interests, develop their talents and prepare for their futures. Programs are offered through five academic colleges and at the Palm Desert Campus.
College of Arts and Letters
Through the arts, humanities and communication, the College of Arts and Letters helps students find their voices and strengthen their creativity, critical thinking and innovation. The Jack H. James R. Watson and Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education
The James R. Watson and Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education prepares future educators and leaders to make a difference in schools and communities. Its programs include teaching credentials, master’s degrees, a doctorate in educational leadership and specialized certificates, all supported by accredited programs and experienced faculty. College of Natural Sciences
Home to 10 departments and the Murillo Family Observatory, the College of Natural Sciences prepares students for careers in science, health, education and other rapidly evolving fields. College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences brings together 14 academic departments and programs focused on people, communities and some of society’s most pressing issues. Financial aid can help make college more affordable
CSUSB offers financial aid options to help students pay for college, including grants, scholarships and work-study opportunities.
Students and families seeking aid for the 2027-28 academic year can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or, if eligible, the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). These applications can provide access to federal, state and institutional aid that can help make a college education more affordable.
