CSUSB Department of Theatre Arts presents “Puppets in the Mara,” which includes a retelling of “The Legend of Ngong The Giant,” a Maasai Tale, by Neil McLeod and Sue Hooper-Lawrie, adapted by Johanna Smith, CSUSB professor of theatre arts. Join us for this free, fun, family-friendly puppet show opening Friday, Jan. 12.

Long, long ago, a fearsome giant named Ngong came to Kenya, threatening to drink all the water and eat all the antelope in the Mara. “Puppets in the Mara” is the story of how all the humans and creatures of Kenya came together to save Kenya and change the landscape of the Mara for all-time!
