Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

Dr. Kamptner began her career at CSUSB in 1985.  She founded the human/child development program.  She is well known for her work with parents and has developed many important parenting programs. Some examples include the Infant Toddler Success Parenting Project and the Parental Intervention Project.

Dr. Ricco began his career at CSUSB in 1992.  He served as Chair of the Department of Psychology for 10 years and was integral in developing the Department of Child Development. Dr. Ricco is well known for his work related to the development of various types of reasoning in childhood and adolescence.

Yuchin Chien

Dr. Chien began her career at CSUSB in 1989. She served as Associate Chair for the Department of Psychology for 25 years and was an inaugural member of the Department of Child Development. Dr. Chien is well known for her work related to children's language development and her many statistics students fondly remember her use of cows as a learning tool.
