Global Canvas Outage
5/7 5 p.m. Update
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
CSUSB is continuing to monitor the Canvas global outage that is impacting thousands of institutions, and work is ongoing with the CSU systemwide office to provide workarounds during this incident. We currently do not have an estimate on when Canvas services will be restored. We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
At this time, please DO NOT attempt to access Canvas in any way until further notice. If you are currently in the system, do not click on any links; just close your browser.
Additional information will be posted on the CSU Canvas Incident page (link below). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CSUSB Technology Support Center at (909) 537-7677 or support@csusb.edu.
Students: In the meantime, if you have questions about assignments or coursework, please contact your instructor directly via email for guidance. Contact information can be found in the Campus Directory (link below).

3:46 p.m. update for faculty
Dear faculty colleague,
CSUSB is continuing to monitor the Canvas global outage that is impacting thousands of colleges and universities around the world, including almost all of the CSU campuses. We are working with the Office of the Chancellor to develop workarounds during this incident. At this time, I'm afraid we do not have an estimate on when Canvas will be restored.
Please communicate with your students via the Faculty Center to let them know that you are aware of this difficult situation, and please let them know you will be flexible with coursework deadlines if the Canvas outage prevents submission of their work.
Here's how to email the Faculty Center:
MyCoyote>Faculty Center> click on the people icon to the left of the course name> scroll to the bottom and select "Notify all Students"> a window will appear to compose email>send.
Please note that email through the Faculty Center does not have the option to attach files. If needed, you can include a link, for example to Google Doc or OneDrive document.
We appreciate your patience in this unprecedented situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
Thank you,
Brad
