Description
Proposals for the Faculty Summer Research Fellowship ($3,000) are now being accepted. These fellowships are for Summer 2026. The purpose of this award is to encourage faculty to engage in research or creative activity that will enhance their professional growth. All tenure-track or tenured faculty members are eligible. Faculty who are in the Faculty Early Retirement Program (FERP) are not eligible to receive these awards.
This award consists of a summer stipend that must represent a minimum of 120 hours of activity at a flat rate of $3,000. Alternatively, faculty may request that the funds be used for professional development (travel, supplies, student assistant, etc.). A proposed project shall not duplicate any other project already funded from any other source within the university.

- FEASIBILITY: The proposal must present an organized plan of action that demonstrates that the project is feasible.
- OUTCOMES: The proposal must elaborate on the expected end product of the project. This can be results such as publication (i.e., books, monographs, articles, or scholarly papers), creative activity (i.e., gallery showings, concerts or theatrical productions) or external grants.
- PROGRESS REPORT: A 2-page progress report must be submitted summarizing activities and outcomes of the project by December 1 following the summer award. The progress report should be submitted online using the InfoReady portal.
- PRIOR GRANT ACTIVITY: Faculty who have received internal funding in the last three years will not be eligible for funding if a progress report has not been submitted for their past funding.
