Board members should be committed to following through on promises and assisting University Enterprises Corporation to the best of your abilities. This means:
- Attending meetings and actively participating in committees
- Communicating with the executive director and other board members
- Following through on assignments
- Supporting program initiatives
Duty of Loyalty
Board members should do more than show up. You should fully support and embody University Enterprises Corporation’s mission and be loyal ambassadors for your cause. When acting on behalf of University Enterprises Corporation, each board member must put aside their personal and professional interests.
All activities and decisions should be in the best interest of University Enterprises Corporation, not in the best interest of the individual board member.
Duty of Obedience
Board members bear the legal responsibility of ensuring that University Enterprises Corporation complies with the applicable federal, state, and local laws and adheres to its mission.
