Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

Welcome to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) was established to advance and strengthen the research, instructional, creative, and community service goals of the university through extramural (sponsored) funding.

The ORSP is dedicated to the encouragement and support of all faculty research and sponsored projects. We assist the university community in the development of institutional grants, contracts, public and private partnerships, as well as facilitating intellectual property development, technology development and commercialization, as well as other entrepreneurial activities complementing and strengthening the university mission.

We encourage members of state, regional and local agencies and enterprises to contact us to assist in the development of grant project collaborations as well as contractual collaborations with CSUSB experts.

The ORSP is responsible for the coordination of administrative oversight, clearances, and the institutional compliance process for all university sponsored program activities. The office also coordinates the regulatory and compliance processes for all funded/sponsored research and service activities at the university.

Here is the list of tasks and responsibilities of ORSP, other CSUSB offices and Principal Investigators in the grant submission pre-award phase of a grant life cycle: pre-award matrix.

Sincerely,
ORSP
