Mystery and intrigue abound as the CSUSB theatre arts department steams forward with its 2023-24 season, starting with the classic, “Murder on the Orient Express,” scheduled Nov. 10-19 in the Ronald E. Barnes Theatre.

The CSUSB Department of Theatre Arts will introduce the 2023-24 season, “All Eyes on CSUSB,” with “Murder on the Orient Express” in November, followed by the musical “Pippin” in the spring.

“Book of Longing,” which runs April 26-27, is a song cycle composed for ensemble, singers, spoken word and imagery. CSUSB Opera Theatre will present 65 minutes of the original work.

The nearly $127 million construction project will add a new Performing Arts Center and is scheduled to open during the 2024-25 academic year. The ceremony has been moved indoors due to extreme heat in the forecast, and is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the Santos Manuel Student Union South.
