California State University, San Bernardino Department of Theatre Arts’ production of Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery “Murder on the Orient Express,” adapted for the stage by Ken Ludwig, is set to captivate audiences from Nov. 10-19.

It is December of 1935, and the Orient Express is speeding from Istanbul to Yugoslavia when a blizzard suddenly stops it dead in its tracks … though the train is not the only thing that’s dead! An enigmatic American tycoon is found murdered in his sleeping compartment, with his door locked from the inside! Now stuck with a train full of suspects, world-famous detective Hercule Poirot must unravel the mystery and stop the killer before he, or she, strikes again!

This immersive production, directed by Frank Mihelich, CSUSB lecturer of theatre arts, promises to keep theatergoers on the edge of their seats with its intricate plot, large cast of captivating characters and unexpected twists!

The performance schedule for “Murder on the Orient Express” is:

  • Nov. 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 at 8 p.m.
  • Nov. 12, 18 and 19 at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased from the CSUSB Theatre Arts Box Office or online at theatre.csusb.edu. Ticket prices are $6 for students and individuals 17 and under; $12 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and military/first responders; $15 for adults 18-64.

All performances take place in the Ronald E. Barnes Theatre on the CSUSB campus. Parking at CSUSB is $6 Monday-Friday and $3 on the weekend.
