CSUSB 2024 Faculty & Staff Giving Campaign, set for March 18 through April 18, is an opportunity to donate to various CSUSB programs.

Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits and government agencies, such as the United States Secret Service, Central Intelligence Agency, Caltrans and Target, will be at this year’s Spring Career and Internship Fair on March 21 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The California State University’s Super Sunday, set for Feb. 25, is an initiative that focuses on the importance of higher education. Black and African American congregations across California will receive presentations from CSU officials.

Annika Anderson (sociology), Rigaud Joseph (social work) and Paul Jones (social work lecturer) of CSUSB’s Project Rebound published a paper on the efficacy of programs that provide support services to formerly incarcerated college students, and Enrique Murillo Jr. (education) was mentioned in an article about the naming of LEAD Summit XII’s honorary chairs.

During their study abroad trip to South Africa this summer, CSUSB students and university President Tomás D. Morales met Antoinette Sithole (standing front, center), whose brother, Hector Pieterson, was killed during the 1976 Soweto Uprising.

As part of the study abroad program in South Africa, CSUSB students, university President Tomás D. Morales and faculty director Tiffany F. Jones visited the Othandweni Family Care Centre in Soweto, delivering $2,000 worth of diapers, formula, toiletries, school supplies, rice and maize meal with funds donated by community members, President Morales, university staff, faculty and students.
