Cal State San Bernardino celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign in April, a tradition of generosity that has raised over $9 million, including 27 planned gifts totaling $2.5 million from current and retired employees.

This year introduced the Senior Class Gift, a new initiative encouraging graduating seniors to give back by supporting scholarships and campus programs for future students. As part of the effort, students sent nearly 100 Paw Grams — handwritten notes of appreciation — to faculty and staff who impacted their academic journeys, in collaboration with the ASI Executive Board and ASI President Carson Fajardo.

To thank long-time supporters, the university held two appreciation luncheons at the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses. In addition, 50 Nothing Bundt Cake towers and handwritten notes were delivered to faculty and staff in recognition of 15 or more years of dedicated giving to CSUSB.

The April 7-18 campaign also featured donut pop-ups, student-recorded impact stories, and personalized engagement efforts that highlighted the campaign’s community spirit.

Themed “Leading by Example,” this year’s campaign emphasized philanthropic leadership across the CSUSB community, uniting faculty, staff and students to build a strong culture of giving.
