
Michelle Decker, president and CEO of the Inland Empire Community Foundation, was honored with the CSUSB President’s Medal at the university’s President’s and Philanthropic Foundation Board Holiday Dinner on Dec. 7.

Leslie Amodeo (psychology), Meredith Conroy (political science), Deirdre Lanesskog (social work), Stuart Sumida (biology) and Barbara Flores (education, emerita) were included in news media coverage recently.

CSUSB’s Fall Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14, at the university's Coussoulis Arena.

The Coyote OneCard serves as the official photo ID for CSUSB faculty, staff and students. Whether managing funds, accessing facilities or using transit benefits, it simplifies everyday tasks and enhances the campus experience.

“In the past 50 years, the Department of Health Science and Human Ecology has become a leader in the health disciplines. Graduates from our programs are driving efforts to advance health equity and making meaningful impacts in the Inland Empire and beyond,” said Terezie Tolar-Peterson, department chair.

Miranda Lee, a wife, mother, student and entrepreneur, is on the cusp of achieving a significant milestone — graduating with a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation degree from Cal State San Bernardino and launching her startup. “It isn’t just about personal growth,” she said. “It’s about using what I’ve learned to make a real difference.”

Three university-wide awards — Distinguished Alumnus, Emerging Leader and Coyote Spirit — will be presented, as well as the Paw Print Awards, which honor esteemed alumni from each of the university’s five colleges.

Sonia Otte, founding director of Cal State San Bernardino’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) program, has co-authored a chapter in the recently published Elsevier text, “Digital Health: Telemedicine and Beyond.”

Attendees reflected on the program’s many milestones over the past 50 years and special recognition awards were presented to former department chairs, honoring their leadership and dedication.

The Cal State San Bernardino Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships strongly encourages students and their contributors to complete the FAFSA application as soon as possible in preparation for the 2025-26 academic year. The deadline is March 1.
