Registration for CSUSB’s 2024 Summer Session is now open. With additional courses and financial aid available, students have a variety of options to stay on track for graduation.

Three sessions will be offered, with the first 5-week and 10-week sessions beginning on June 3 and the second 5-week session beginning on July 9.

Registration began April 8. Classes fill up quickly, so students are encouraged to register early.

“Students derive so many benefits from our Summer Session offerings,” said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Rafik Mohamed. “They are able to take additional courses that allow them to graduate sooner, complete coursework in less time than the traditional school year, stay on track to earn their CSUSB degree, and take advantage of financial aid opportunities that may not be available otherwise.”

While the majority of courses will be delivered online, some in-person and hybrid options are available, as well as summer abroad opportunities.

A variety of financial aid opportunities are also available, and graduating seniors who qualify can take advantage of the Graduation Initiative Grant, which covers 100 percent of their summer tuition. Students are encouraged to reach out to their advisors in advance to see if they are eligible to take advantage of this grant.

Registration for the Open University Summer 2024 term begins April 26. Open University enables visiting students to take regular degree-credit courses on a space-available and instructor-approval basis, without formal admission to the university.

Course fees for both Summer Session and Open University can be found on the Summer Session Tuition & Fees webpage.

Additional details regarding the session dates, fees, course schedule, grant and eligibility criteria can be found at the Summer Session website.
